Nursing has been my dream my entire life. When I was born, a nurse was the one to notice something wasn't right which lead to life-saving interventions, including open-heart surgery. She saved my life and my goal has been to become a nurse and save lives just as she did mine.

I have worked as a nurse for over 13 years, caring for aging adults to micro-preemies. The last 9.5 years I have been in a level IV NICU and that is where my heart has found its home. I was once a patient in the very NICU where I currently work.

As I have cared and opened my heart to my tiny patients, I have had an increasing desire to do more. I feel that educating our future nurses will leave a lasting impact on thousands of lives. I hope to instill in each student the knowledge necessary to care for each patient competently, as well as the character to attend to each patient with grace, patience, and kindness.
